Youth Fountain & Good Terms Underground At The Webster

On June 13th, Youth Fountain & Good Terms made their way to Hartford, Connecticut, at the Webster Underground. Along with them, Sad Park & Quarantined came along for the show.

To start the night off perfectly, the local CT band Quarantined opened the show. Quarantined is a four-piece pop-punk-heavy metal band that formed back in 2019. They had an awesome stage presence and brought out the excitement in the crowd. As the mosh pits started, everyone was being pushed in every direction. Ian, the Vocalist, showed a great deal of expression and energy during his set. He got the crowd hyped for the upcoming acts.

Next up was the iconic emo-pop punk band, Good Terms, straight out of Los Angeles, California. The members include Brian McShea as lead vocalist & guitarist, Zach Boucher on guitar & vocals, Ivan Barry on guitar & vocals, Geo Botelho as bassist and vocalist, and last but not least, Nick Cervone on drums. They played an 8-song set which included: Same Team, Old Friend, Hear Me Out, Blurry, Reaching, Drive-in, Progress, and Cough. The crowd's volume started to increase as their set went on. Brian McShea, the vocalist, gave the mic out to fans so they could sing along, which was awesome.

The third band on the bill was Sad Parks, an alternative-emo 4-piece band from Los Angeles, California. Sad Parks played a 10-song set with songs including; ALWAYS AROUND, I Should, GOOD LUCK, Bouncy, Feel Like Shit, Nobody Cares, MONEY IN THE BAG, CAROUSEL, In My Head, and End. Before they started with "ALWAYS AROUND", the band members came together in a huddle and raised their hands together to welcome themselves to the stage. All of the members collectively bring a very special vibe to the stage, between their stage performances & the melodies of their music. It all brings together perfectly. The song "In My Head" from their 2018 album, "Sleep," was my favorite to see live. It was one of the very first songs I heard from them as a young adolescent.

The anticipation grew as their stagehands set up the stage in preparation for Youth Fountain. Fans were also preparing for their set by getting drinks and socializing to pass the time. As soon as they walked on the stage, the concert-goers could be seen rushing to the front of the stage to make sure they didn't miss the opening song, "What Tomorrow Brings" from their 2023 album, "Together In Lonesome". Youth Fountain is a pop-punk, rock band from Canada. They played a 13-song set with songs including: What Tomorrow Brings, Requiem, Identical Days, Clarity, Tarnish, Rose Coloured Glass, Haiku, Worried, Twin Flame, A Few Notes for Orpheus, Deadlocked, and Blooms. The 4-piece band members include Tyler Zanon on vocals and guitar, Nick Cervone on drums, Zach Boucher on vocals and guitar, and Brian McShea on bass. The yells throughout the rooms could be heard from the block over. Having Youth Fountain as an opener was the best decision; they brought out the cheerfulness of the crowd.

This July, Youth Fountain will be headlining their own UK Acoustic tour called "Stuck In My Hell." Make sure to secure your tickets.
