LIONHEART RELEASES NEW ALBUM “VALLEY OF DEATH II” - FEATURES SINGLE WITH MATT HONEYCUTT OF KUBLAI KHAN TX

Lionheart have announced the arrival of their new album, Valley Of Death II, available now as of January 9, 2026 via Arising Empire. The record marks the latest addition to the band’s ever-expanding and attention-demanding catalog.

Unrelenting aggression and crushing riffs are the hallmark of the Lionheart sound, and Valley Of Death II serves as a powerful reminder that they are a force to be reckoned with. Blending punishing rap-driven vocals with the raw intensity of metalcore breakdowns, the album perfectly balances between chaos and control, and delivers undeniable energy that pushes their own creativity boundaries.

Hailing from Oakland, California, Lionheart have been terrorizing the scene since their debut record, The Will to Survive, which was released in September 2007 via Stillborn Records and I Scream Records. Over the years, the band went on to release multiple albums and EPs while touring around Northern American and Europe alongside acts like Suicidal Tendencies, Biohazard, I Declare War, and many others. Following a brief hiatus after their 2016 release, Love Don’t Live Here, Lionheart returned reinvigorated and with a vengeance that signals no signs of them slowing down.

As the next evolution in Lionheart’s career, Valley Of Death II not only features some of the group’s strongest material to date, it also showcases standout collaborations with the likes of Kevin Skaff of A Day To Remember and Matt Honeycutt from Kublai Khan TX, further elevating the album’s historic impact.

The second track on the record, Chewing Through the Leash, continues to be one of the standouts of the album. In classic metalcore fashion, this in-your-face track carries a steady but aggressive rhythm and leaves plenty of room for the featured guest, Matt Honeycutt, to arf arf his way throughout the track.

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
