Memphis, Tennessee’s nu-rock powerhouse Sleep Theory has officially announced the release of their highly anticipated debut album, Afterglow, set to drop on May 16th, 2025, via Epitaph Records. Along with the album announcement, the band unveiled their newest single, “Static,” a track that perfectly encapsulates the sound that has catapulted them into the spotlight over the last couple of years.
The four-piece band, composed of Cullen Moore (vocalist), Daniel Pruitt (guitar), Paolo Vergara (bassist), and Ben Pruitt (drummer) has quickly become a force to be reckoned within the rock scene. From their intense and electric live performances to their perfectly curated sound, Sleep Theory has captured the attention of fans, and the press, all over the world.
In recent years, Sleep Theory has been praised by the likes of rock legends like David Draiman of Disturbed, and has toured alongside groups like Shinedown, Falling In Reverse, and Beartooth. In less than two years, they’ve become the fifth most-played artist on Active Rock radio.
The debut album was produced by David Cowell and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Architects). It will feature 2024 singles “Stuck In My Head” and “Paralyzed,” as well as singles from their 2023 EP, Paper Hearts, “Fallout” and “Numb.”
You can pre-order Afterglow here.
Sleep Theory also released the music video for their newest single and album opener “Static.” The track immediately set the tone for the entire album. It’s like a high-energy club dance floor colliding with the intensity of metal, and we love it. The unique blend of synth and bouncy hooks with classic breakdowns and brutal screams leaves you feeling amped and ready for more.
