When it comes to pushing the boundaries of modern metalcore, few bands do it like The Plot In You, and their latest track, “You Get One”, is proof. From the very first note, this song smashes expectations, delivering an experience that’s simultaneously hard, sexy, and absolutely unrelenting.

What makes “You Get One” so instantly captivating is its masterful use of rhythm. The skipping beats, unpredictability, and perfect timing create a pulse that feels both urgent and alluring, compelling the listener to move, whether in a chaotic mosh pit or a dark, neon-lit club. "A meditation on current society. Up is down, down is up. Nothing is what it seems we often forget what it means to be human."

Production-wise, “You Get One” is flawless. Every element from the biting guitars to the rumbling lows and soaring vocals produced by Landon Tewers and mixed by the legendary Zakk Cervini is perfection in metalcore’s version of it, allowing the song’s intensity to hit both physically and emotionally. It’s rare to find a track that manages to sound huge in a festival arena while also translating that same energy into intimate, late-night listening sessions, but this song nails it, and I truly don't think we will ever hear or experience a song like this.

It’s aggressive yet hot, chaotic yet meticulously crafted, and easily my personal favorite track they’ve ever released. It’s the kind of song that will dominate festival stages, tear up mosh pits, and haunt late-night playlists for years to come, proving once again why The Plot In You are masters of their craft.

The Plot In You also announced they will be releasing ‘The Volume Series,’ which merges all of their EPs into a full-length piece, releasing July 10th (via Fearless Records).
