As a by-product of the Covid pandemic, Gridiron is the newest groundbreaking group to hit the hardcore scene. Composed of members from Never Ending Game, Simulakra, and Scarab, this power group has come together to bring a new wave of metal and hip-hop fusion.

Featured on their latest album, Poetry From Pain, “Heavy Metal Money (Seen It All Before)” is a riff-heavy track with punchy hip-hop vocals from Big Body Bes. The track is already gathering momentum as high praise comes from both fans and media like Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, NO ECHO, and many more.

Poetry From Pain, which was released in May 2025, includes 12 genre-bending songs that perfectly showcase the talent that infects this power group. The album was released through Blue Grape Music, which has previously signed with rock, metal, and hardcore groups like Silly Goose, GEL, Superhaven, and Spiritual Cramp.

Since its formation, the group has debuted EPs Loyalty At All Costs (2020) and Worldwide Brotherhood (2021) and the full-length studio albums No Good At Goodbyes (2022) and the most recent Poetry From Pain (2025).

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
