KEITH WALLEN OF BREAKING BENJAMIN CROSSED THE LINE WITH NEW POWER BALLAD - “A THIN LINE”
Breaking Benjamin guitarist Keith Wallen is charging into the new year with undeniable momentum and kicking off 2026 with his first new single, “A Thin Line.”
As a somber sonnet, “A Thin Line” gradually builds tension from the very beginning of the track. Hypnotic, thready beats weave underneath Wallen’s boisterous vocals and swell as the song progresses, amplifying each verse with a heavier and more raw, emotional overtone. While this may be one of his more restrained compositions, “A Thin Line” uses sonic components that lull you into a trance and then thrusts you into a vulnerable state with the vigorous emotional intensity behind each lyric.
Wallen describes the meaning behind that track as, "The duality of outcomes from the choices we make could mean the difference between our personal heaven or hell, war or peace, or even life or death."

“A Thin Line” follows in the wake of the other massive singles Wallen has released over the past year. “Us Against the World,” “Dead Inside,” “I’m With You,” and “Teeth Marks” featuring GORE. Singer Haley Roughton has captivated fans and early 2000’s alternative enthusiasts.

As no stranger to the industry, Wallen has cemented his legacy as an Einstein of the scene and one of the most influential songwriters in this space. Pulling inspiration from those before him with elements of 80’s pop groups like The Police and Depeche Mode and 90s grunge groups like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots, Wallen has mastered the art of capturing the best elements of each group and making it uniquely his.
The list of his contributions and collaborations is ever-growing and ever-evolving. In 2014, Keith joined Breaking Benjamin for their comeback album, Dark Before Dawn, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and is now an essential member of the iconic band. As one of the most successful comebacks of all time, Wallen was a key component of the success and continues to drive the band into new and uncharted territory.
Outside of Breaking Benjamin, Wallen has curated massive co-writing collaborations with artists like Saint Assonia, Fuel, We Came As Romans, Red, Dorothy, and Brian “Head” Welch of Korn, and is a former member of Adelitas Way.
