Post-hardcore band Movements, returns with a brand new album Happier Now, set to release September 4, 2026, accompanied by a headlining tour across the U.S with support from Balance and Composure, Midrift, and NIIS.

The band consists of lead singer Patrick Miranda, Austin Cressey on bass, Ira George on guitar, and Spencer York on drums. Movements is not new to the scene as they have previously played the entire Vans Warped Tour run in 2017 and are returning to the 2 day festival in Mexico and Florida this fall between their headlining tour dates. They first got signed to Fearless Records in 2015 after playing just one show and have had numerous trips across the country over the years supporting other artists such as A Day To Remember, Knocked Loose, The Story So Far and Turnstile.

Their new single, “Everything Is Fine,” encapsulates this new era of the band with upbeat and haunting instrumentals throughout and vocals that send hard punches before settling back into the melodic, storytelling verses Movements is known for. Lead singer, Patrick Miranda shares how “it's a song about anxiety, and [he] think[s] fans of the earlier Movements subject matter will really enjoy this one." The track creates a unique juxtaposition of feeling uncertainty and anxiety while telling yourself that things aren’t as bad as they seem. For many, this is a common theme when going through life, however, Movements’ ability to express the visceral urge to find peace resonates with many at a deeper level.

Movements’ first single off of Happier Now, “Back in My Ways” carries a grungy bassline that is complimented with Miranda’s lighter vocals, for a slower paced vibe until halfway through, creating a build up to the bridge where the classic post-hardcore sound is really brought to life through hard hitting drums, striking guitar chords and metallic vocals. “Dissolve Me” starts out with a faster tempo compared to the former and still discusses similar topics of anxiety and convincing oneself that there are better days ahead. All three singles that have been released so far assisted in the creative direction for the album and provide a nice preview of what to expect when it comes to the rest of the album.

Happier Now Track list

Their goal for the new record was to mix the slower components of their old music with the heavier riffs of their last release, Ruckus. Their latest single is the perfect example of showing how they have managed to mix both. With a 12 song tracklist, Happier Now is sure to contain hit after hit of the blended signature sound Movements has worked so hard to make their own.
