RETURN TO DUST PUSH BOUNDARIES WITH PROVOCATIVE NEW SINGLE “NEW RELIGION”

Grunge revivalists Return To Dust recently debuted the music video for their brazen new single, “New Religion.”

Dark and introspective, “New Religion” leans into the band’s signature sound with driven and progressive riffs, a killer guitar solo, and chilling vocal harmonies that haunt and amplify the message of the song.

Set against a desolate desert backdrop, the video shows the band tearing into their instruments while stark religious imagery floods the scene. Both the visuals and the lyrics push the boundary, and that is exactly what they were intended to do.

When asked about the meaning of the track, the band stated, "We are born into expectations about what our life should and shouldn't be. If you let them influence you without resistance, you're no better off than a frog slowly boiling to death in a pot of water."

New Religion” follows on the heels of the band’s previously released single, “Bored,” from their latest EP Speak Like The Dead. “Bored” currently sits at number 10 on the Big Rock 100 and it continues to climb to the Top 10 at Active Rock.

Keeping the 90’s grunge sound alive, Return To Dust have cemented themselves as the torchbearers for the genre in the modern age, channeling the genre’s raw power and gritty sound.

Their self-titled debut album, Return To Dust, catapulted the band into the spotlight. Following their explosive debut, the band continues to build momentum with each release. They have captured the attention of nearly every person in the scene and their success has led to many opportunities for the young band, including taking the stage with rock legends. They’ve joined as tour support for icons like Chevelle and Sevendust, and have made appearances at major festivals like Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Inkarcertation.

Return To Dust is currently touring with Mammoth and Myles Kennedy, which will take them through the rest of the year. In 2026, they’ll be taking over Europe with a few festival appearances including Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, Download Festival, Nova Rock Festival, Graspop Festival, and Tuska Festival.

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
