The Acacia Strain Announce Summer Tour, “You Are Safe From the Dead Walk Here,” and They’re Not Playing Nice About It

The Acacia Strain are heading out on a Summer 2026 headline run under the name You Are Safe From the Dead Walk Here, joined by The Callous Daoboys, Fromjoy, and Mask.
They’ve never really been subtle, and they’re not starting now.

The tour kicks off June 4 in Harrisburg, PA and wraps June 20 in Des Moines, moving through a run of mostly intimate venues along the way. Tickets on sale now.
The run ties into a couple of different eras for the band, including the 20th anniversary of The Dead Walk and last year’s You Are Safe From God Here, a record that pushed their already heavy sound even further without really sanding anything down.
Frontman Vincent Bennett doesn’t really soften the intent behind it.
“The Dead Walk is 20. You Are Safe From God Here isn’t even a year old yet. No way we are playing every song off a 20-year-old record when we just came out with a new one. The best we can do is like 5 or 6 songs — take it or leave it. The Dead Walk songs. You Are Safe From God Here songs. Callous Daoboys songs — during their set only. Plus Fromjoy and MASK are going to be there. Intimate venues. Limited barricades. Come complain about how we didn’t play the ONE song you really wanted to hear.”
It fits a band that’s never really been interested in smoothing things over for expectation or nostalgia. There’s always been a bluntness to how they operate, whether it’s setlists, releases, or just the way they present themselves without much interest in softening the edges.
Across recent years, including Step Into The Light and Failure Will Follow in 2023, The Acacia Strain have leaned further into extremes on both sides. Some tracks hit fast and direct, while others stretch out into slower, heavier weight that feels like it’s meant to sit there until it becomes uncomfortable. It’s a push and pull they’ve settled into rather than drifted toward.
You Are Safe From God Here continues that approach. It doesn’t shift what the band is doing so much as push it deeper into place, tightening the edges without smoothing anything out.
There’s a consistency to it now that feels intentional rather than repetitive. The sound is still abrasive, still heavy, still loud in a way that doesn’t leave much room to breathe, but it’s shaped more by experience than urgency at this point.

The summer tour feels like another extension of that mindset. No attempt to soften expectations, no real interest in making the experience more digestible than it needs to be. Just a lineup of bands moving through tight rooms, playing sets that are probably going to match the directness of the tour name itself.
