Paleface Swiss take London by storm

Taking place on a cold January evening in London at Troxy for the first gig of 2026, there were lots of excited fans ready to escape normal responsibilities for the evening.

Warming up the crowd was Orange County’s beloved metalcore band, Stick to Your Guns, who electrified the crowd on a chilly Saturday evening. The band, are made up of vocalist Jesse Barnett, bassist Andrew Rose, guitarists Chris Rawson and Josh James, and drummer Adam Galindo, set the perfect tone for the night. They kicked off with “Diamond” from their 2012 album by the same name, and Jesse’s dynamic stage presence had the audience fully engaged from a high stage, running around and interacting with fans from below. Known for their high-energy, Stick to Your Guns didn’t hold back, delivering a powerful rendition of their anthem “Against Them All.” The band’s ability to connect with the crowd with the furious drums and bass lines that get stuck in your head to create an unforgettable experience, which was evident throughout the evening, proving why they are so loved. Their music resonated deeply and emotionally, leaving fans buzzing with excitement and anticipation for more. Stick to Your Guns truly proved why they are a staple in the metalcore scene, forever captivating audiences with their raw energy and passion. This performance was a testament to their enduring appeal and the strong bond they share with their fans. If you haven’t experienced Stick to Your Guns live, you’re missing out on one of the most exhilarating shows in the metalcore genre.

Next up were Static Dress, hailing from deepest Yorkshire, who delivered an unforgettable performance that cemented their status as one of the UK’s most exciting modern acts. Fronted by the ever-charismatic Olli Appleyard, alongside Sam Ogden on drums, George Holding on bass, and Vincent Weight on shredding guitar, the lads brought electrifying energy that had the crowd in the palm of their hands from the first note.

They opened with fan-favourite “Face”, immediately sparking a wave of cheers as Olli commanded the room with his engaging presence. His ability to connect with the audience was remarkable, drawing fans into the chaos and encouraging sing-alongs that resonated through the venue. By the time they launched into “Courtney, Just Relax”, the crowd was completely ignited, with a massive mosh pit erupting in front of the stage. The raw intensity of the performance translated perfectly, blending their post-hardcore grit with moments of melodic vulnerability that had the entire room captivated.

Time for the main event, the electrifying world of Palefaceswiss! Hailing straight from Zurich, this powerhouse metal band took to the stage, and their energy was absolutely amazing from the word go. With vocalist Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, guitarist Yannick Lehmann, bassist Tommy Lee, and drummer Cassiano “Cassi” Toma leading the charge, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation.

The night kicked off with a bang (and pyro of course!) as they unleashed the explosive track ‘I AM A CURSED ONE’ from their latest album, ‘CURSED’. Zelli commanded the stage with an intensity that is both captivating and infectious. As he leads the crowd into a powerful chant of “I AM A CURSED ONE”, the electrifying guitar riffs and relentless blast beats ignite a frenzy of headbanging that sweeps through the audience like wildfire.

But Palefaceswiss were nowhere done yet. Just when you thought the night couldn’t reach new heights, they launched right into ‘HATRED’. This crowd pleaser had everyone singing along and moving to the beat, with an intensity that is almost tangible. Feeding off the crowd’s energy, creating a symbiotic relationship that makes this performance truly unforgettable. Performing tracks from the freshly dropped ‘The Wilted - EP,’ with ‘Let Me Sleep’ captivating the audience as a standout favourite, with its sleep-deprived anger that really hits the spot.

The anticipation reaches fever pitch with the introduction of a fan favourite and their longest song, ‘The Orphan’. The familiar chords ring out, and the crowd erupts in a chorus of chants. Zelli and the boys are in their element, working the crowd with every note and beat. This was the moment everyone had been waiting for, and Palefaceswiss delivers just that in a spectacular fashion, leaving a mark on every soul present.

This wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience, a celebration of music and passion that transcends the ordinary.
