Silverstein Brings Their 25 Years Tour To Hartford Connecticut
Silverstein's 25 Years of Noise North American Tour swept through Hartford, Connecticut, at The Webster this past Sunday. What better way to spend Easter Sunday?! This was only their 3rd stop on tour, but it was jam-packed.
The opening band was Greyhaven, who absolutely blew my mind. Greyhaven is a post-hardcore band that originated in Louisville, Kentucky. They opened their set with "The Welcome Party" from their latest EP, "Stereo Grief." The band had a 7 song set including "Echo and Dust Pt 1" and "Echo and Dust Pt 2", which are my two personal favorite songs. I couldn't pick a better combination between the amazingly curated setlist, the blue & purple hue strobe lights, and the energy in the crowd.
Next up was a pop-rock band, Broadside from Richmond, Virginia. Once they walked on the stage, the crowd's energy was off the charts. Broadside played an 8-song set including some iconic songs, "Heavenly" & "Foolish Believer."
The room shook when Real Friends took over the stage later in the night. Real Friends is a pop-punk band straight out of Tinley Park, Illinois. Their set started off with "Waiting Room" from their latest album, "Blue Hour." During the third song on the set, "Late Nights In My Car", Cody Muraro (vocalist) jumped off the stage, and right onto the barricade, belting the lyrics. He gave crowd-surfing fans the mic to sing along with him. He had the crowd lift him to crowd-surf amongst many fans, all while singing the song. Man of many talents, huh! Later on in the set, Cody told us to "split the pit in the middle" as he jumped off stage and jumped in the crowd. Everyone in the mosh pit opened up a big circle for him to enter, as he sang "Late Nights In My Car." The room became somewhat low-toned and quiet as you could mainly hear Cody singing. It was a very surreal moment.
The fans have been anticipating Silverstein to come on stage as they played a video on the big screens showcasing old shows from the early 2000s. It was a very special video compilation as it shows how far they have come as a band together throughout the years. They started off their set with a single, "Skin & Bones." This song really brought energy to the crowd, as everyone began crowd surfing. They had an amazing set of songs ranging from their newest music from, "Antibloom" and all of the oldies from "When Broken Is Easily Fixed" and "Discovering The Waterfront." They made sure to play a song for every album of the past 25 years. Towards the end of the night, a fight broke out, and Shane Told (vocalist) had to stop the show. When everything cleared up, Shane fist-bumped the security from the stage and the show continued gracefully! As soon as the legendary, "Smile In Your Sleep" came on, everyone's voices could be heard. Following that song, Shane came out with an acoustic guitar and sang "My Heroine" alongside Josh Bradford(guitar), Paul Marc Rousseau(guitar), Billy Hamilton (guitar), and Paul Koehler(drums). Hearing "My Heroine" acoustic live was definitely an unforgettable experience. Silverstein then ended their set with another legendary song, "Bleeds No More" from the 2003 album, "When Broken Is Easily Fixed."
Back on February 21, 2025, Silverstein released the first part of their LP, "Antibloom" which took off on the charts. Soon, they are to release the second part, "Pink Moon". Follow them om social media to get updates on the new music, and catch them on a tour date for the " 25 Years Of Noise North American Spring Tour"! You do not want to miss this one!
