Wind Walkers - I Don't Belong Here Out October 3rd
Up in Upcoming alternative metal band Wind Walkers have officially announced that they will be releasing a new EP, “I Don’t Belong Here,” on October 3rd via Fearless Records. This EP really dives into dealing with internal struggles, the noise in one's own mind, and how you are not alone in facing it.
The most recent release of the upcoming EP is their song “Silk & Static”. In typical Wind Walkers’ fashion, the balance between electronic melodies, crushing instrumentals, and emotionally raw lyrics is impeccable. Visually, the dark aesthetic really encapsulates the EP’s central theme of feeling misunderstood and dealing with the “static” in your mind.
Wind Walkers vocalist Trevor Borg stated:
“Writing ‘Silk & Static’ was like staring into a mirror and unpacking every frustrating thing about myself. It came from a place of not understanding why my mind felt so chaotic all the time and why I kept getting in my own way. After recently being diagnosed with ADHD, the pieces started falling into place, and it shed a different light on the song. It was very eye-opening the fact that I wasn't alone, and that this kind of internal noise or “static” is something others live with too. At its core, I wrote this song to offer comfort to people who can relate to feeling overwhelmed and misunderstood, while trying to make sense of themselves."
So far, 3 tracks have been released from the EP, The End Aesthetic, Silk & Static, and Eating My Heart Out.
