PRESIDENT Announce 2026 North American Tour With Cenobia + Showing Teeth
There’s something deliberately elusive about PRESIDENT, and they seem perfectly fine keeping it that way.
The UK collective have announced their 2026 North American headline tour, kicking off September 4 in Nashville and moving through cities like Chicago, New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Seattle, and Los Angeles before wrapping up October 14 in Dallas. It’s their first time back in the U.S. since touring with Bad Omens, but this run feels different, with the band now stepping fully into their own space as headliners.
Support will come from Cenobia and Showing Teeth on select dates, adding even more weight to a lineup that already leans into atmosphere and intensity.
If they’ve been on your radar at all, PRESIDENT don’t move like most bands trying to break through. There’s no constant oversharing or forced identity, no rush to explain who they are. They reveal things slowly, just enough to pull people in without giving everything away. It feels intentional, and more importantly, it sticks.
Their latest single “MERCY” arrived as their U.S. run with Bad Omens came to a close, and it carries that same sense of control. The song moves between restraint and impact, pulling into melody before dropping into dense riffs and heavy breakdowns that land harder because of the space around them. Nothing about it feels accidental, and it’s the kind of track that hits differently once you’ve sat with it for a minute.

Lyrically, “MERCY” leans into heavier subject matter. The band has described it as a reflection on religion and its history of division and loss, but it doesn’t come across as heavy handed. It feels more personal than that, like someone working through something complicated rather than trying to make a clean statement.

The track follows “ANGEL WINGS,” which already showed how fluid their sound can be, blending electronic elements with heavier moments in a way that feels natural instead of forced. There’s a consistency in how they build tension and release it, without falling into predictable patterns.
Both releases continue building on their debut EP King of Terrors, released in 2025, where they first started shaping this balance between atmosphere, heaviness, and restraint. It never feels like they’re trying to fit into a specific lane, which is probably why they’ve been able to hold people’s attention this quickly.

There’s a lot happening in heavy music right now, and most of it moves fast. PRESIDENT aren’t really operating on that timeline. They’re more controlled, more selective, and harder to pin down because of it, which ends up working in their favor.
With a headline tour coming up and new material continuing to surface, they’re letting everything unfold naturally.
And at this point, people are starting to lock in.
