AVOID SPOILS FANS WITH “SOUR APPLE” VISUALIZER & CREATURE OF HABIT EP ANNOUNCEMENT
Seattle’s hardcore trailblazers AVOID announced their upcoming EP Creature of Habit, which arrives on November 14, 2025 via UNFD.
AVOID, composed of Benny Scholl (vocals), Nick Olson (guitar), Chris Echols (guitar), and Paul Jaton (drums), also debuted the visualizer for their latest single, “Sour Apple” on October 24. This explosive track is sure to amp you up before the release of Creature of Habit.
Frontman Benny Scholl spoke on the song saying, "We're so stoked to release our new track 'Sour Apple.' What's funny is this name initially came up just as a demo name. 'cause there was a Sour Apple-flavored vape in the room. We worked out the instrumentals, and then when we finished the vocals and the lyrics, we were trying to come up with what the song will be called. The song is about reflecting on the past and letting go, but also being able to be upset when things haven't always gone your way. In a way, kind of being a 'Sour Apple' about things sometimes and we realized that the name ended up representing
