Broadside drops new single “Warning Signs”
Straight out of Richmond, VA comes a 3 piece- pop-punk band, Broadside. The members include Oliver Baxxter as vocalist, Patrick Diaz on bass and back-up vocalist, Dominic Reid on guitar, and last but not least, Tay Ewart as Touring Drummer. Since 2015, they have always made very self expressive music, and stayed completely authentic to themselves & what melody they wanted to release. The band is most known for their album, “The Raging Sea” with one of the songs reaching over 400,000 streams. As well as their last full-length album, “Hotel Bleu” which hit over 100 million streams across all platforms. This was a huge stepping stone for them as a band all together.
This week, they have announced their new single, “Warning Signs” which was released on June 6th. Along with the new single, they released a song visualizer on YouTube. It showcases the motion of the stars.

To watch “Warning Signs” Visualizer:
“Warning Signs” is a mellow & groovy hum to it. It is a very beautiful song that describes the fight towards the temptation of being connected to people who have many red flags and aren’t ideal for us to be with, but we choose to stay anyway. It isn't the ideal situation but we tend to push the warning signs to the back of our minds when love is involved. This song is the embodiment for anyone who has loved someone who knew they were going to wind up hurting them emotionally.
In a recent interview about the new single, the vocalist Oliver begins to say, ”Warning Signs is a subtle confession—about craving someone toxic enough to ruin you, yet sweet enough to keep you begging for more.”
Some of my personal favorite lyrics from “Warning Signs” include:
“Never know my limit
On just how much of you I should take
The same high that gets me off
Will probably put me in my grave
I've never been the type
To read between the lines
And if it's on your mind, baby, don't think twice
Don't wanna waste your time
But you can waste mine”
I feel as these lyrics really paint the picture of what the song is meant to represent.
The excitement of the new single is unexplainable, but there may be more new music upcoming in the future!
