VOLBEAT’S “GOD OF ANGELS TRUST” ALBUM RELEASE AND SHARES “DEMONIC DEPRESSION” MUSIC VIDEO

Danish superstars Volbeat have officially released their ninth studio album, Gods Of Angels Trust, via Republic/Universal Records.

Gods of Angels Trust features 10 fierce tracks that spearhead the next evolution of Volbeat. The band took a new and unique approach when creating this record by writing, recording, and producing the entire album within a span of about 5 weeks. This radical approach forced the band to get creative in a new way that was driven purely by instinct and passion.

GOD OF ANGELS TRUST TRACK LIST:

 "Devils Are Awake"

"By a Monster's Hand"

"Acid Rain"

"Demonic Depression"

"In the Barn of the Goat Giving Birth to Satan's Spawn in a Dying World of Doom"

"Time Will Heal"

"Better Be Fueled than Tamed"

"At the End of the Sirens"

"Lonely Fields"

"Enlighten the Disorder (By a Monster's Hand Part 2)"

In addition to the release of the new album, Volbeat also shared the music video for “Demonic Depression.” This heavy-hitting arena anthem boasts a powerful message about battling your own mind while delivering high-powered riffs in the classic Volbeat fashion.

Vocalist and guitarist for the band Michael Poulsen spoke on the inspiration for the track. "'Demonic Depression' is based on one of my really good friends and the state of mind that he was in for a couple of years. I've played it for several friends, and they've all asked, 'Did you write that about me?' Which is a little scary and just shows how many people are dealing with mental issues in certain parts of their lives and how many are constantly struggling."

"It's about some heavy mental issues,” he continued. “So I guess the message is pretty universal. Depression is so all-consuming, and it affects so many people, and the best way to help someone struggling with it is to talk to them and listen to what they have to say. I've had my share of mental issues throughout life, so I guess I'm part of the lyrics, too."

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
