Dayseeker Unleash “Bloodlust” at Louder Than Life, Offering a Glimpse Into Their Darkest Era Yet

Fresh off a commanding performance at this year’s Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, Dayseeker has dropped a powerful new single, “Bloodlust” a brooding, high-intensity track that sets the tone for their upcoming album, Creature in the Black Night, due out October 24 via Spinefarm Records.

The band , Rory Rodriguez (vocals), Gino Sgambelluri (guitar), Ramone Valerio (bass), and Zac Mayfield (drums), took the stage to an already buzzing crowd. But when Rodriguez announced they were about to play something new, the excitement shifted into something more electric. Everyone around me leaned in, some swaying gently with anticipation, others ready to break loose at the first sign of a drop.

Then someone in the crowd shouted, “Hell yeah, Dayseeker!” loud enough to cut through the noise and it kicked off a ripple effect of cheers, whoops, and laughter. The whole section erupted with energy before a single note of the new track even hit. It felt spontaneous and shared, the kind of moment that reminds you why live music matters.

When “Bloodlust” finally kicked in, the response was immediate and visceral. The song opened with a haunting, slow-burning intro, and everyone near me moved as one, swaying in time, eyes fixed on the stage. But once the chorus dropped, so did the restraint. Heads began to bang in rhythm, hands flew up, and bodies moved with reckless joy. It didn’t matter that the crowd hadn’t heard the track before, Dayseeker had them locked in.

The newest single will be on their new upcoming album “Creature in the Black Night” out October 24th via SPINEFARM

Following the festival performance they have also released “BLOODLUST” on all streaming platforms along with a visualizer.

"'Bloodlust' is one of the more eerie and chaotic tracks on the record. It's about people in your life who want to metaphorically drain the blood from you — those you can't trust and don't belong in your life,' says Rodriguez.

Lyrically, it explores the toxic dynamics of people who drain your energy and trust, emotional vampires dressed as friends.

"There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on," Rodriguez explains. "It wasn't planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it."

"There was this idea that we'd get more and more commercial over time," Rodriguez says. "But I think the opposite happened — we're riffing more, I'm screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest."
