Gore. releases emotional banger “Sepsis.”
Texas quartet (yep, they’re now a quartet — more on that later) has released an emotionally charged new single, “Sepsis,” via Spinefarm on June 10th, 2025. It marks their first new music of the year and the follow-up to their debut EP, “A Bud That Never Blooms.”
The track arrives hot on the heels of their first-ever festival appearance at Download Festival (UK) and a short run with Kim Dracula — and it seems there’s no sign of slowing down.
“This song is about a friend who was in a relationship with someone diagnosed with bipolar disorder (BPD) that went untreated,” Roughton explains. “I attempted to write it from his perspective, after seeing him try to salvage a relationship where he was constantly challenged and abused. I could only imagine how difficult it is knowing that the person you love is ill and staying by their side, even when the relationship feels like torment.”
Watch the video below:
In the video, Roughton explores the duality of BPD, showing herself isolated, trapped, and trying to claw her way out of a massive hole.
“The music video reflects that isolation and what it’s like to be trapped inside your own head and thoughts. Hence why it’s just me and a double the whole time,” Roughton shares.
Fans of Spiritbox, Loathe, Deftones, and Sleep Token will surely dig this band. Revolver recently listed Gore. as a “Band You Need to Know,” and NME named them one of 2025’s Essential Emerging Artists.
Yes, you heard right! Gore. is no longer a trio. They’ve welcomed Wills Weller (formerly of Toothgrinder) into the band. Congratulations, Wills!
