The Devil Wears Prada fearlessly illuminates their willingness to dive deep into the dark places of our minds, most people squirm to glimpse at with their new upcoming album “Flowers.” Announced on August 21st, 2025, the band’s ninth full-length album will be released later this fall on November 14th, 2025, via Solid State Records.
It’s no secret that The Devil Wears Prada has always explored life’s extremes within their music. Having released eight previous albums filled with crushing heaviness and heart-wrenching melodies, they make it evident they will never shy away from staring down and confronting their inner darkness while simultaneously creating music that touches on topics like depression, anxiety, grappling with faith, existence, and death. Their refusal to play it safe has allowed the band to keep their edge and remain as fresh and vital as ever.
Over two decades of shared triumphs and navigating life’s challenges have evolved the band’s dynamic over time and forged an unbreakable bond both on and off the stage, strengthening their bond as both musicians and brothers. Feeling more empowered than ever, this album encapsulates the group's process through grief, weathering struggles, and embracing healing together as they step into a new era like never before.
The Devil Wears Prada’s clean vocalist and guitarist, Jeremy DePoyster, shares
"Flowers is 20 years into a journey. The highs, the lows, a reckoning with what it means to be a human catapulting through the chaos that life throws at us continually. This is us at our peak, in songwriting, in raw and authentic lyricism and introspection, and a desperate attempt to connect with anyone else who feels the same way that we do."

"'Where The Flowers Never Grow' is a song about the realization that no matter how good things get from the outside, there is still a place of darkness in our minds… the place where flowers never grow," says DePoyster. "The hours spent away from the stage and the bright lights can be a lonely place. The lyrics are a reckoning with how you can receive everything you thought you wanted, but you still have to reckon with the intrusive thoughts of emptiness and old wounds that you’re trying to find a way to heal. My hope is that anyone who hears the song feels seen, that they’re not alone in the darkest corners of their mind, and that we’re all trying to find a way forward."

During 2024, the musicians decamped to a VRBO in Rodgers, Arkansas for three weeks where they constructed the foundation for the LP, with Jon again at the helm as producer. Following their time "in this heavenly corner of Arkansas," Jon, Jeremy, and Mike took a handful of trips to Los Angeles. Putting the finishing touches on recording, the guys collaborated with Tyler Smyth [I Prevail, Falling In Reverse], Austin Coupe [Lø Spirit, Moodring], Colin Brittain [Linkin Park, Papa Roach], Fit For A King's Bobby Lynge, and Marshall Gallagher of Teenage Wrist. They also enlisted Color Decay collaborator Sam Guaiana as an engineer and tapped Zakk Cervini [Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox] for mixing and mastering. 20 years deep into their career together, their creativity has surged to life on Flowers, representing perhaps their most significant creative leap forward yet.
