Paleface Swiss releases a song that is somehow worse than my seasonal depression

Paleface Swiss has released their third and final single “Everything is Fine” off of their upcoming The Wilted EP, out January 2, 2026. Continuing the themes of decay, loss, and vulnerability, the new release is devastating. For those unfamiliar, Paleface Swiss is a four-piece act from Zürich, Switzerland. Together, vocalist Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, guitarist Yannick Lehmann, bassist Tommy-Lee Abt, and drummer Cassiano 'Cassi' Toma have become a global phenomenon. They have been praised for their willingness to be open and unguarded in their music in beautiful ways. Combining their emotionally fraught performances with breathtaking visuals, this band has taken art to a whole new level.

“Everything Is Fine” pulls from the aftermath of a catastrophe. Utilizing Zelli’s ability to bring forth the most heart-wrenching vocals, this new single pleads for a return to a long-lost sense of normalcy. The craftsmanship of how the vocals echo and are given moments to stand alone throughout only drives home the turmoil being portrayed. To conclude the track by breaking into desolate screams for the bridge and final chorus brings things to a harrowing end. Instrumentally, the song plays out like a eulogy. Bookended by the sounds of rain and cathedral bells, the band brings the exact amount of heaviness that the band has become known for. The intense drums capture attention throughout, while the guitar and bass offer a subtle melody that periodically gives way to the vocals before returning with vehemence. Altogether, “Everything Is Fine” encapsulates the feeling of utter ruination after loss. It’s intense and darkly beautiful in a way that leaves you at a loss for words.

The music video for “Everything Is Fine” is even more crushing. Directed by Kriss Jakob, a longtime collaborator with the band, the video begins and ends at a funeral. The band performs in an open field adorned in all black, interwoven with snapshots of a love cut short by the ravages of cancer. Sophia Rosa Bollinger & Levi Tounkara’s performances are award-worthy as they bring this couple to life. Fully embracing the spectrum of emotion, the scenes cover everything from the small, quiet joys to the intense waves of rage and sorrow. The signature floral motif of the band’s most recent releases acts as a common thread to the narrative. For fans, this kind of artistry is what truly sets Paleface Swiss apart, highlighting their ability to tap into raw human empathy.

While a US leg is still TBA, the band has announced appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Stone Temple Festival. This comes as the Cursed Tour across Europe, the UK, North America, and Australia sold out to the tune of 70,000 tickets. A stunning figure as Paleface Swiss’s global domination of the scene continues to reach new highs.
