August Burns Red & The Amity Affliction announce a kick-ass 2026 co-headlining tour
You know how people say, April showers bring May flowers? Well, in this case, my version of April showers is the tears coming from my eyes with the recent announcement of August Burns Red & The Amity Affliction co-headlining tour “Spring Horizons” coming in April. (Happy tears, of course!)
If you don’t already know, The Amity Affliction is a 4-piece post-hardcore band based out of Gympie, Australia. Members include Joel Birch (Lead Vocals), Dan Brown (Guitar), Jonathan Reeves (Bass, Vocals), and Joe Longobardi (Drums). They formed back in 2003, to then release 8 studio albums since, including the most recent one, “Not Without My Ghosts” (2023)
The metalcore icons, August Burns Red, also formed back in 2003. They are a 5-piece band with members including Jake Luhrs (Vocalist), Matt Greiner (Drums), Guitarists John Benjamin “JB” Brubaker & Brent Rambler, and last but now least Dustin Davidson on Bass.
Earlier this year, they released a 20th anniversary edition of their 2005 album, “Thrill Seeker.”
Not only do we get 2 phenomenal bands, but the openers are just as awesome - Boundaries and Heavensgate. Dreamwake will be tagging along on the CT date at Toad’s Place on April 11th as well.
The Spring Horizons tour is a 28-stop tour, including the Sonic Temple Festival date. It starts off right in my hometown, Worcester, MA, at the iconic Worcester Palladium on April 10th and ends all the way in Philadelphia, PA, on May 17th.
