VOLBEAT RELEASES “TIME WILL HEAL” MUSIC VIDEO

Volbeat released yet another single and accompanying music video ahead of their God Of Angels Trust album debut, available on June 6, 2025. The music video for “Time Will Heal” is a great addition to the band’s arsenal of iconic tracks.

As an anthem for all who mourn, “Time Will Heal” captures the emotional back-and-forth experienced when grieving your losses through a simple-paced rhythm with the classic Volbeat sound. The video amplifies the meaning of the track by visuals of obscurity and confusion.

The band explained the personal inspiration for the song as a journey that we all go through.

"Through life, we go through these ups and downs, and sometimes, it's like turning on a switch, and it can change from one minute to another," said vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen. "We suddenly get in a sad, emotional mood where there just doesn't seem to be a way to see the light or good in anything. But we always find a way to make things good again. I'm good at turning those moments around quickly, but that comes with accepting the good with the bad and using the bad moments to grow and learn instead of letting them bother you more than they should and having your mind manipulate reality. The important thing is to realize that while nothing can be good forever, do not let the dark side of life take over. Have the confidence to know there will be better days ahead when we're dealing with these moments or demons and we're struggling to find anything good in what we're doing."

Poulsen goes on to say, "I'm still struggling with the loss of my father. I would say 80 percent of the time I'm coping with the loss and doing well. But then sometimes, I'm falling into these black holes where everything is empty and nothing is fair. I'm so grateful I have kids because when they come into your life, suddenly, everything is not about you. It's about the kids, and you can't spend too much of your energy being down because they need you. So, it’s been a blessing having kids. It's the best thing that ever happened to me."

God Of Angels Trust will be the band’s ninth studio album and has already received a Billboard’s Mainstream Rock #1 spot with the album’s first single, “By A Monster’s Hand.”

Volbeat completed an impressive feat by writing, recording, and producing the entire album within the span of about 5 weeks. Even with the challenge of a quick turnaround, the band created a unique, complete, and rewarding album that will leave fans both impressed and inspired to think a little differently.

"In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them," Poulsen explains. "This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure, I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album."

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
