WE CAME AS ROMANS NEW SINGLE "BAD LUCK"—AN ANTHEM OF RESILIENCE

Michigan-based metalcore rockers We Came As Romans are kick-starting the next era of their nearly two-decade career with their latest track, Bad Luck. As their first release of 2025, Bad Luck is bringing the band to the next level with a brazen anthem of resilience through even the hardest times of the band's career.

”Bad Luck is a song that is so important to each of us,” explains frontman Dave Stephens. “Lyrically, it’s about our journey as a band since the very beginning. We’ve faced so many setbacks and problems behind the scenes, and sometimes it feels like bad luck is all we have — but the way that we’ve persevered through all of them to become who we are today is the real story, not the issues along the way.”

The track begins with a melodic vocal loop that builds into the rhythmic and pounding riff that carries throughout the song. The anthemic chorus amplifies the lyrics of survival and perseverance, while the breakdown of massive screams coupled with a thunderous beat emotes the feeling of defiance against all odds.

Bad Luck is the group’s first release since their highly acclaimed 2022 album, Darkbloom. The album honored the legacy of their original vocalist, Kyle Pavone, who tragically passed in 2018. Darkbloom was awarded 4 out of 5 stars in Kerrang! and received continued praise from other media outlets like Loudwire and Consequences.

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
