Spite Delivers Bloody Sermon in "LIGHTS OUT" Music Video Ahead of Tour and New Album

Spite, a four-piece outfit hailing from sunny Southern California is a delicious blend of deathcore, neo-nu-metal, and metalcore.There is no shortage of power and aggression to be heard throughout their tracks. From their explosive tracks and borderline-feral live performances this band always brings the heat.

Most well known for their song “Kill or Be Killed” off of the album “Nothing is Beautiful", which has amassed over 10 million streams, the band has returned to the limelight with a message for their followers;

A new album is on the horizon, and with it, more brutality awaits.

Their new single “LIGHTS OUT” has been released alongside a blasphemous and explicit music video. While the rest of the tracklist is still under wraps, we have been offered a release date for the album ‘NEW WORLD KILLER’ of October 31st, 2025 (the most wicked treat their fans could ask for)

Pre-Order the album here

In a wickedly bloody display, Darius Tehrani, vocals; Alex Tehrani, guitar; Ben Bamford, bass; and Travis Regnier, drums, stand amongst a congregation and rain proverbial fire upon their misguided followers. Despite the brutal growls, wild riffs, crashing drums, and powerful bass, the message of the song is very clear; the warped delusions fed to us are giving rise to those who have so little to lose that they are willing to serve their own brand of “justice” by their own wicked hands.

When asked, the Tehrani brothers had this to say of the new release:

'LIGHTS OUT' is a depiction of a lack of social awareness. Not everyone's boundaries are shared. The most dangerous person is the one who has nothing to lose."

The video itself opens with Darius Tehrani lying amongst a pile of corpses, and things only become more disturbed from there. Time and reality are warped as we are shown the story behind the nightmarish scene. Attendees clasp Bibles, brandishing their upcoming album’s title, ‘NEW WORLD KILLER’, as they listen almost statuesque to what looks to us like an unhinged sermon from Darius acting as the priest and Alex, Ben, and Travis as altar servers. The video itself is rife with what would widely be considered satanic imagery. All of this frantic action leads to a terrifying and rapid-fire climax.

It almost feels like Spite is embracing alternative tradition with this display. The open criticism of the danger of collective thinking, warped messaging, and blind faith is a theme that bands have been touching upon for ages. Still, the artistry and style leave things feeling brand new. In a time where ideologically fueled violence seems to be on the rise, we can see where Spite got their inspiration, and it leaves fans wondering what else present society has inspired in the new album.

Spite will also be touring this fall supporting Fit For a King and Make Them Suffer across the US and parts of Canada.
