Black Veil Brides Take It Back to Their Roots with New Song Hallelujah
Black Veil Brides have officially kicked off a new era with the release of their first single of 2025, Hallelujah. It's the band's latest single since the release of Bleeders in 2024, and it marks a bold return to their heavier roots. There is no doubt that this single will be loved by diehard Black Veil Brides fans. Check out the track here.
Musically, Hallelujah stands as one of the band's most relentless offerings to date. It's built on thunderous rhythms, razor-edged guitars, and frontman Andy Biersack's commanding vocals. The track also features a haunting performance from the Tampa-based One Voice Ensemble, whose choral backdrop adds a spiritual intensity that elevates the song’s urgency and scope.
But it's the video that truly sets Hallelujah apart. Directed by Marco Pavone (The Black Dahlia Murder, Pink Floyd), the animated visual is a dark, surreal descent into a dystopian, cathedral-like world. Gothic architecture, otherworldly angels, and ritualistic imagery pulse and shift in time with the track’s relentless energy. Every frame feels deliberate, immersive, and rich with symbolism.
As for the track’s deeper meaning, Biersack shared this: “This is the heaviest and most vitriolic BVB record by far but more importantly I believe it is the most sincere and honest record we have ever made.” That sincerity shows, not just in the sound, but in the boldness of the visuals and thematic choices on display.
With Hallelujah, Black Veil Brides prove that their creativity knows no bounds–sonically, thematically, and visually. This isn't just a return, it's a rebirth. And fans won't have to wait long to hear it live.
The band is set to perform Hallelujah for the first time at Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA, on July 26. From there, they'll continue their momentum with appearances at major festivals, including Louder Than Life, Rock The Locks, and Aftershock, before heading to South America for six headlining shows. Their massive We Missed Ourselves Tour will also feature Underoath, Silverstein, Senses Fall, and I Set My Friends On Fire.
