IN HER OWN WORDS RELEASE NEW RED HOT SINGLE “CHERRY RED”

LA-based pop-rockers In Her Own Words released their latest single “Cherry Red” on September 19, 2025 via Thriller Records.

The power duo described the song as a reflection on the challenges of navigating the cycles someone fumbles through after leaving a broken relationship.

Frontman Joey Fleming spoke on the track saying, “The song tells the story of someone stuck on the memories of a broken relationship, and memories from the past keep replaying in their mind. Now, everything feels faded, with only “cherry red” standing out as a reminder of the love and pain left behind.”

In addition to the song’s release, the band also shared the visualizer for the track, which you can watch here.

Housed in the heart of Los Angeles, In Her Own Words has been stoking the flames of authenticity while consistently building momentum with each release. The duo creatively blends seamlessly together and their bond grows stronger as more time passes. Fleming described their excitement for the next chapter of the band.

“This new era of the band feels like what I’ve been trying to accomplish since I joined. Andretti (guitarist) and I click on so many levels in the studio, and I feel like I’ve finally found my place as a songwriter. It’s finally translating into the music.”

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
