Yellowcard Reimagine “Bedroom Posters” With Blippi for a New Generation
If you had told me a few years ago that Yellowcard would be teaming up with Blippi, I wouldn’t have believed a word you said. But here we are, and honestly, it works way better than expected.
The band’s latest release “Bedroom Posters” (feat. Blippi), takes a fan favorite and flips it into something completely new. It’s got that classic Yellowcard energy—fast paced, catchy, and easy to get stuck in your head—but now there’s this added layer of excitement that makes it fun for the whole family.
One of the biggest changes to the song comes with the lyrics. Where the original leaned for a more emotional style, this version shifts into something lighter and more playful. Lines like “Tear down my bedroom posters,” are now “Look at my bedroom posters.” It’s less about letting go and more about excitement and imagination, which fits perfectly with Blippi’s style.
You can listen to the song here.
Blippi also brings his signature energy into the mix, especially in those moments that feel like they were pulled from his show. The “airplanes and rollercoasters” chant, tied to his “Year of Vehicles” theme, could’ve easily felt out of place—but it doesn’t. Somehow it slots right into the band’s sound instead of clashing with it.
There’s a bit of a Yo Gabba Gabba! vibe to it too—more so in the way that it reminds me of the My Chemical Romance episode (if you know, you know). That same kind of “wait what the heck are they doing here?” energy that turns into a catchy song that you can’t get out of your head.
Musically, Yellowcard still sounds like themselves. The guitars are front and center, the chorus hits the way you want it to, and nothing feels watered down just to fit the collaboration. The music video follows that same idea. It’s bright, slightly chaotic and clearly built around having fun with the concept rather than overthinking it. You can tell nobody involved is taking it too seriously, which is exactly why it works.
Watching the music video with my son reinforced that even more. He was locked in from the start, mainly because it was Blippi, but he stayed engaged with the music as well. It really says a lot about how naturally everything comes together.

Frontman Ryan Key had this to share regarding the music video:
“It was so fun to make. I think it pushed us all out of our comfort zones a little, and at this stage of our career, that usually leads to an amazing outcome. For me, as a first time dad of a 2 year old who is already showing signs of being very musical, I think this is going to be a very special way for him to connect with my music and see me doing what I love.”
Taking a step back, this release also says a lot about where Yellowcard is right now. “Bedroom Posters” has already been gaining traction, climbing the Alternative Radio Charts and pulling in millions of streams, but this version pushes it even further. By teaming up with Blippi, they’re not just revisiting a fan favorite—they’re expanding it to reach a whole new audience. Outlets like Billboard have even pointed out that collaborations like this are helping introduce pop-punk to a younger generation.
At the end of the day the idea of “Bedroom Posters (feat. Blippi)” sounds a little wild at first, but it ends up being one of those unexpected crossovers that just clicks. Yellowcard doesn’t lose what makes them unique, they just have fun with it. And with Blippi in the mix, it turns into something that feels just as entertaining for kids as it does for longtime adult fans. It’s a little nostalgic, a little chaotic, and honestly just a good reminder that music doesn’t always have to take itself seriously.
